Holy Ruffles Mary Poppins, vintage repurposed adorable apron, you need this apron -
This fancy little number was re-purposed out a thrift store find! It used to be kitchen curtains, but I "poppinized" it and voila - adorable kitchen wear! I don't know how old these are, but to use the word vintage it's supposed to be at least 20 years old, I am assuming these are. I layered the curtains for extra flounce and then added some light blue organza to add some more body and ruffle! The lace and checkered print is adorable. I used grossgrain ribbon for an easy bow that would stay tied, I didn't want to detract from the front. This will fit a small to a large or extra large depending on how you wear your aprons. Body of apron measures 16 inches wash in cold water, hang to dry (it probably could be washed in warm and thrown in the dryer... but I'd rather have it last longer since it's "vintage"!) large elegant WEDDING head piece with roses, flowers, pearl beads, silver heart -
I cut up strips and strips of old t-shirts and I came up with this beautiful headpiece. yes this headband is huge on her head, but she was the only one willing to hold still for a picture, I was thinking more along the lines of and adult bridal head ;) It took me longer to do this one that it did to do every other head band combined, but I think it was worth it! The rosettes are not snow white, the fabrics I used were from several different shirts that had been washed many times. I hand sewed the pearl beads, and heart charm on to give it a more elegant look. If you have any questions please contact me, or if you have an idea for something custom you would like! xoxo j
