www.ForSaleByMormon.com is owned and operated by Congruent Influence, Inc. and
has established this privacy policy to explain to you how your information is
protected, collected and used, which may be updated by ForSaleByMormon from time
to time. ForSaleByMormon will provide notice of materially significant changes
to this privacy policy by posting notice on the ForSaleByMormon site.
1. Protecting your privacy
We do not share your information with third parties for
marketing purposes.
We do not employ tracking devices for marketing purposes
("cookies", "web beacons," single-pixel gifs).
We do use cookies for site functionality and session management
We don't send you unsolicited communications for marketing purposes.
Account information is password-protected. You should keep your password safe and follow good password policies. As of the time of this writing, a good password consists of at least 16 characters.
ForSaleByMormon does not knowingly collect any information from persons under the age of 18. If ForSaleByMormon learns that a posting is by a person under the age of 18, ForSaleByMormon will remove that post.
ForSaleByMormon, or people who post on ForSaleByMormon, may provide links to third party websites, which may have different privacy practices. We are not responsible for, nor have any control over, the privacy policies of those third party websites, and encourage all users to read the privacy policies of each and every website visited.
We allow users to send you an email without them knowing your email address.
As a buyer, when you contact a seller, the seller will be able to respond directly to you using the email provided by you
2. Data we collect
We sometimes collect your email address, phone, address information for purposes such as sending self-publishing and confirmation emails, authenticating user accounts, providing subscription email services, general account interactions, etc.
ForSaleByMormon does not store credit card information. Credit card transactions are accomplished using PayPal and we do not capture any of that information other than that a transaction has taken place and new account expiration dates.
We only collect the information you supply in your profile or classified listings. Please do not post any personal information on ForSaleByMormon's profiles or classifieds that you expect to keep private.
Our web logs collect standard web log entries for each page served, including your IP address, page URL, and timestamp. Web logs help us to diagnose problems with our server, to administer the ForSaleByMormon site, and to otherwise provide our service to you.
3. Data we store
All classified and profile postings are stored in our database, even after "deletion," and may be archived elsewhere.
Our web logs and other records are stored indefinitely.
Registered users can access and update their account information through the account homepage.
Although we make good faith efforts to store the information in a secure operating environment that is not available to the public, we cannot guarantee complete security.
4. Archiving and display of ForSaleByMormon postings by search engines and other sites
Search engines and other sites not affiliated with ForSaleByMormon - including google.com archive or otherwise make
available ForSaleByMormon postings and data as seen on the website
5. Circumstances in which ForSaleByMormon may release information
ForSaleByMormon may disclose information about its users if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to respond to subpoenas, court orders, or other legal process.
ForSaleByMormon may also disclose information about its users to law enforcement officers or others, in the good faith belief that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to: enforce our terms of use; respond to claims that any posting or other content violates the rights of third-parties; or protect the rights, property, or personal safety of ForSaleByMormon, its users or the general public.
6.International Users
By visiting our web site and providing us with data, you acknowledge and agree that due to the international dimension of ForSaleByMormon we may use the data collected in the course of our relationship for the purposes identified in this policy or in our other communications with you, including the transmission of information outside your resident jurisdiction. In addition, please understand that such data may be stored on servers located in the United States. By providing us with your data, you consent to the transfer of such data.
7. We send the following Emails
When a potential buyer of your product or services clicks "Contact Seller", we will send you an email
from "WardClerk@ForSaleByMormon.com". When you receive the email and click reply, your message will be sent directly
to the interested buyer with your email address visible. Communication is at this point between you and the buyer.
We may contact you to notify you for expiring listings, expiring presence
subscription, billing information, password changes or other information
pertinent to servicing your account. These cannot be opted out of as
they are required to maintain the activity of your account.
ForSaleByMormon does not currently send newsletters, product offers or any other
marketing types of emails to our customers. Should we choose to do so in
the future, we will provide you an opportunity to opt in. In the meantime,
enjoy our marketing free environment.
