The basic goal, or "mission," of Rated Reads is to review books that are fairly newly published and rate them according to their content, much like movies or TV. The site is a useful tool for parents who would like to know if a book might be appropriate for their children to read, or for those who would like to know ahead of time if a book they'd like to read has a lot of offensive language or sexual content, etc. The ratings are simple and straightforward, and each review has a detailed explanation of what kind of content the book has.
