Young Men Eagle and Duty to God Tracking

Tracking Eagle and Duty to God progress is often challenging for parents and leaders. Stake leaders want to know how the youth are progressing as well which can create problems getting them accurate data in a timely fashion.  I have seen my fair share of Excel spreadsheets over the years but creates a problem of not having timely and up to date information.  Spreadsheets get passed around and different people make different changes and suddenly you have inconsistencies between different versions.  For this reason I recommend using a third party tracking software for tracking your boys.

At this time I am aware of 3 products that have varying costs:

I have personally used the first 2 products.  Both pieces of software have benefits over the other.  Regardless of which option you choose, using one of these products will simplify your tracking life and enable you to better serve the parents and leaders in regards to providing reports and status of the youth.  Even though the names of the software indicate they are scout specific, they do have Duty to God tracking as well.

The important features to look for would include:
 - Ease of entering data
 - Ease of sharing and accessing data
 - Ability for parents to look at the data and possibly change it if you allow
 - Ability for Stake Leaders to view data from multiple troops from a single login
 - Ability to email reports to parents and leaders
 - Ability to use application from any computer
 - Simple security administration
